The existing infrastructure permits testing to be carried out geared towards specific sports. Depending on what is required, endurance tests can be performed on the treadmill, crank-handle, bicycle, skiing, rowing or canoeing ergometer, or in the wheelchair or handbike.
Services provided in response to health problems are covered by the health insurance scheme. Here is a selection of our services and explanatory notes. Should you require any further information, feel free to contact us any time, of course.
Sports medical check-up, muscle status CHF 200
For health problems, load intolerance, or before commencing sports training
Blood test (sport screen) CHF 100
For health problems, load intolerance, or before commencing sports training, screening
Conconi test (bicycle ergometer, tread mill, crack-handle, wheelchair) CHF 100 without advice
Maximum test for assessing endurance capability based on the measurement of performance and heart rate. A training recommendation can be made on the basis of the measurement results. The test is also suitable for regular training checks. The work performed at each performance level remains constant, which means that as the performance level rises, the duration drops. The Conconi threshold is calculated from the pattern of the cardiac frequency curve. |
Lactate turn-point test (bike ergometer, tread mill, crack-handle, canoeing and rowing ergometer, swimming)CHF 175 without advice
The lactate turn-point test enables individual training intensity zones to be defined and endurance capability to be assessed. The test essentially comprises two parts: The first part comprises a relatively quick and steadily rising load until the person reaches the point of subjective exhaustion. In the second part, the stress level is then increased in increments immediately afterwards. The purpose of the first test is to build up lactic acid in the active musculature. In the second part, the accrued lactate can be reduced to the so-called lactate turn-point.
Spiro-ergometry CHF 300
(VO2max)
Stress-ECG (bicycle ergometer or hand crank) (CHF 150.-)
The stress-ECG is an important medical tool for detecting heart disease and assessing its development and associated risk. Performance results in the phased exertion test form the basis for ongoing training planning. A stress-ECG is normally continued to the point of exhaustion, but is broken off earlier in case of pathological changes in the cardiac response.
Wingate-Test (crank-handle, bike ergometer) CHF 100
The Wingate test is used to measure anaerobic performance (an athlete's stamina). It is a test for highly trained athletes. The test sequence comprises a 30 second period of maximum stress, with resistance adapted to body weight. It can also be used to make statements about the athlete's strength endurance and ability to sprint. The abdominal strength test comprises three exercises which are carried out with the person's own body weight. The three exercises test the musculature in the front, side and rear of the torso, with the exercises performed at second intervals. There are comparative values available for specific sports.
Jumping power test on a force platform CHF 150 to CHF 175 depending on the test
Swiss Olympic abdominal strength test CHF 80
The abdominal strength test comprises three exercises which are carried out with the person's own body weight. They test the musculature in the front, side and rear of the torso, with the exercises performed at second intervals. There are comparative values available for specific sports.
Lung function measurements and asthma checks CHF 50 to 150
Respiratory musculature endurance training (SpiroTiger) CHF 50 to 100
Setting the equipment, instruction and training control Individual or team advice on the themes of mental preparation for competition, competition anxiety, controlling emotions, relaxation techniques, concentration problems, team development, crisis situations, etc.
Body fat measurements (bioimpedance or skin-fold measurements) CHF 50
Bioimpedance: A weak electric current, which the person cannot feel, is conducted through the body. This generates a resistance which can be used to calculate the composition of the body. Skin-fold measurement: The thickness of skin folds is measured using fat calipers at defined places on the body. This can be done to measure subcutaneous fat.
Sports nutrition advice CHF 110
Individual nutrition advice for elite athlete and sports enthusiasts on a variety of themes in the area of sports nutrition.
Sports psychology Individual CHF 150, team CHF 180 per hour
Individual or team advice on the themes of mental preparation for competition, competition anxiety, controlling emotions, relaxation techniques, concentration problems, team development, crisis situations, etc.
Physiotherapy (settled through health or accident insurance schemes)
Range of therapies in our centre or close to where you live in association with sports physiotherapists.
